  • The Powersoft/Sybase web site is a frequent site for most PowerBuilder developers and users of the Sybase suite of development products.
  • Microsoft provides a vast range of e-business products including the BackOffice Servers, Visual Studio and a popular Web scripting engine know as Active Server Pages (ASP).
  • SilverStream is our pick when it comes to enterprise Web application servers. This Java based development system is doing for Web applications what VB and PowerBuilder did for client/server only better. You must see this product if you are serious about the Web.
  • aRenDeeco is home of the ReIndenter, a program that will automatically reindent your PowerBuilder script.
  • PBBrowser is a shareware PowerBuilder browser tool that's been around since PB 5.0. It lets you view your source code instantly. This shareware allows you to see ancestor events and function source code.

  • The SilverStream Journal is the premier publication for SilverStream developers. If you not reading this journal every month, then you are not serious about SilverStream.
  • PowerTimes is the BEST publication around for PowerBuilder! This international rag has notable authors from around the world including many from Team Powersoft and the speakers circuit including Steve Benfield.
  • PowerBuilder Developer's Journal is the oldest running and most successful PowerBuilder publication to date. You can't be without this one if you are a serious PowerBuilder developer.
  • Distributed Computing is a great journal for learning about distributed object technologies. The magazine is endorsed by the Object Database Management Group and the Message Oriented Middleware Association. You'll find articles all about CORBA and COM plus a whole lot more.
  • Microsoft Internet Developer is devoted to Internet development with Microsoft technologies. It's a great source for those working with the many tools in the Microsoft toolbox. Articles ranging from Active Server Pages (ASP) to Distributed COM (DCOM) are all there. The articles are often useful and interesting...a must for any serious Microsoft Web developer.

Atlanta Area

  • The Atlanta ASP Users Group was just started in November of 1999! Follow the link to find the date and time of the next meeting.
  • The Atlanta PowerBuilder User Group meets the third Thursday of every month.
  • The Microsoft Internet Developers Association (MIDAS) is an Atlanta based association of developers who are using the Microsoft Active Server framework to deliver dynamic web applications to Internet, Intranet and Extranet environments. MIDAS is co-sponsored by Omni Technology Centers and Microsoft Corporation.
  • AMUG is the Atlanta MapInfo User's Group, an association of developers and end-user's of MapInfo and its related line of products. This group is open to anyone with an interest in expanding their horizons, discussing their work, and furthering their knowledge of MapInfo.
  • The Atlanta SilverStream User's Group meets to discuss ideas interesting to SilverStream developers. They offer study groups, mentoring and an opportunity to learn from others.
